Why Pay a Premium Cost for a Desk?
A dedicated desk costs AED 150 a month more than a flexi desk in ADGM. Here is the cost-per-day maths, what the extra buys, and when it isn't worth paying.

What an ADGM business address service should include, why the address must sit inside ADGM's jurisdiction, and the questions to ask a provider before you sign.
An ADGM business address service should give your company a registered address inside ADGM's jurisdiction, a lease registered through AccessRP, reliable mail handling, and a clear answer on what happens when your needs change. The price is only part of the comparison. Two packages at similar prices can differ in what they register, what they forward, and what they let you upgrade to.
This guide explains what a registered office address in ADGM involves, what a good address package includes, and which questions to put to a provider before you sign. It is written for founders and holding structures that need an ADGM address and want to compare offers sensibly. If you are comparing workspace more broadly, see our guide to office space providers in ADGM.
At minimum, an ADGM business address service connects your company to a real address inside ADGM and supports the paperwork that depends on it. Aegis Coworking's address plans, for example, are listed with a registered ADGM business address, mail handling and forwarding, the company name on the on-site directory, and meeting room credits, with the option to upgrade to a desk or office at any time. Use that as a reference list when you compare providers.
| Element | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Address inside ADGM | An ADGM company needs a physical presence within ADGM's jurisdiction, such as Al Reem Island |
| Lease registered on AccessRP | The registered lease is what ADGM, banks, and renewals refer back to |
| Mail handling | Official letters arrive at the registered address and must reach you |
| Name on the directory | Visitors and couriers can find your company |
| Meeting room access | A place to meet clients, advisers, and bank officers |
| Upgrade path | You can move to a desk or office without changing address |
Because ADGM is its own jurisdiction, the registered address of an ADGM company has to sit inside it, such as on Al Reem Island. Our article on whether Al Reem Island is part of ADGM explains the boundary, and our guide to office space providers in ADGM shows how to check a provider against ADGM's own list.
The address is also not a one-time setup item. ADGM's setup steps include an office and registered lease before submission, and the annual confirmation statement later confirms the registered office along with directors and shareholdings. Your address is part of the company's record every year, so a provider that treats it that way is easier to work with over the life of the company.
The lease behind your address is registered through AccessRP, and you should ask the provider for the confirmation or Application ID once it is submitted. Our AccessRP lease registration guide covers who does what.
The document that matters later is the one you show at renewal. ADGM's renewal form asks for a Certificate of Registration of Lease, or a consent letter for entities that share an office with a service provider, holding company, or parent company. These are different documents for different arrangements, so find out which one applies to you before you sign, not when the renewal is due. Our ADGM licence renewal checklist covers the rest of the renewal.
Mail handling decides whether an address service is useful in daily life. Official mail from regulators, banks, and clients goes to the registered address, so it matters how fast it reaches you. Before choosing, ask:
Aegis lists mail handling and forwarding with its address plans. If forwarding costs, scanning, or retention limits matter to you, confirm them with the team, because the pricing page does not set them out.
Not every workspace plan includes a registered address, so check this before you compare prices. At Aegis, these plans include one:
The Flexi Desk (from AED 1,000 per month) is a place to work, but it is not advertised as a registered ADGM business address.
Some licences need more than an address. The Tech Startup licence, for example, carries a desk requirement, as explained in our guide to the Tech Startup licence desk requirement. Check your own category with ADGM before picking the lightest option, or use our workspace decision guide.
It depends on the provider and the arrangement, and ADGM looks at the lease and licence details for each entity. Our article on whether two ADGM companies can share the same registered address at Aegis sets out how that works. If you run more than one entity, ask the provider how each one is registered and documented before you sign for both.
A registered address does not decide where you may work, but it does need to match how the business operates and what ADGM expects. We cover the question in running an ADGM company from home with a coworking address.
For general questions about agreements, desk types, lease registration, and fees, see questions to ask before applying for an ADGM licence in a workspace. Whichever provider you choose, get the full list of charges in writing.
Aegis Coworking is an ADGM business centre on the 38th floor of Addax Tower, Al Reem Island. It offers the full range from a virtual office to a private office, plus meeting rooms and day passes. Because every option sits in one building, a company can start with a virtual office and move to a dedicated desk or private office later without changing its registered address. See the pricing page for current rates.
